Use Boostlingo AI Pro in Microsoft Teams

Initiate the app

To use Boostlingo AI Pro app with Zoom during your meeting:

  • Click on Apps and select Boostlingo AI Pro

  • Click on Save when prompted to Install Boostlingo AI Pro

 

  • If you don't have a user yet, you will be prompted to agree to Boostlingo Terms & Conditions and create an account. The creation of the account is automatic once you click on Allow

  • When requested, click on "Start personal session" to initiate the application. If, instead of a personal session, you'd like to host an event, please reach out first to events.contact@boostlingo.com

Setup the captions, translation and interpretation

Options

If you already have a user, or after having created one, you will access Boostlingo AI Pro console. Here you can:

    • Transcribe your meeting
    • Translate the captions into more than 130 languages
    • Give voice to the translation in more than 20 languages
    • Retain your transcripts

Languages

For each menu, you will need to add the languages you'd like to use. As an example, in the below screenshot we show a session where English and Spanish are chosen for each menu.

  • Languages to listen for: these are the languages that are going to be spoken during the session. Please note that if you don't insert a language here, our AI engine will not understand that language
  • Caption languages: these are the languages that we can translate the captions into as text
  • Speech languages: these are the translated languages that the application will give voice to

Additional settings

  • Glossary: you can associate a specific glossary to your session. Learn more about glossaries here
  • Tags: you can create a tag for your session to find it more easily afterwards
  • Session type (Open / Closed): select Open if you'd like anyone with the link to access the live captions, select Closed if you'd like to have only authenticated users to access the live captions. By default this setting is Open - recommended
  • Description: you can add a description for your session

Once completed, click on Create and then on the Start button

 

Use the captions, translations, interpretation

Starting the captions

Once started, a new user called "Boostlingo AI Pro" will enter the meeting. If your meeting has a waiting room, make sure to let that user in.

  • Once the bot has entered, you can start speaking and Boostlingo AI Pro will start captioning what is being said. You can choose the language with the menu.

Making captions visibile to other users

The users in the meeting have 3 possibilities to see the captions in their own language:

  1. Install Boostlingo AI Pro app. Once they open the app, they will have access to the same window as you do.
  2. Have users connect with a smartphone as second device and scan the QR code in the meeting. If the QR code is not visible as a user, you can click on Share in the Boostlingo AI Pro menu Screenshot 2024-11-05 at 13.41.21.png
  3. Copy/paste the link underlying the QR code and share it with other users on Zoom chat. They will able to open the captions on a browser window on their computerScreenshot 2024-11-05 at 13.41.27.png
